Here's my roommate adding the new window in the basement bath. It's round! I had to take this before the window went in. I love looking through this hole and seeing all the bamboo outside.

The window has textured glass since it'll be in the bathroom.

Here's a view of the window. My roommate found it at the Re-Store for $50. Not a bad price for a custom (though not custom *for* me, it's still custom) double-paned new-condition vinyl window.

I'll post another picture when he does the trim. He mentioned that you make an octagon of angled trim pieces and then cut the hole out of the center. It sounds like it's going to be super cool.

I'll have to get back to you after it's done. Don't actually know the plans yet.

Today they went shopping for the drywall and insulation. We still have to get a concrete saw to cut a big hole for the new bedroom window. Most of my basement is at ground level, but there is one part that's a little too high for egress. It's going to be such a nice room when it's done.
